Living the Mandala

... as I paddled, so empowered (and can you believe brunette me managed to get blond highlights from all the sun??!!) I surfed alone, I surfed with others; I liked it best with others because it felt good to see someone smile so bright when they caught a wave.

--There were moments when I would be floating on my board, or having a sunset swim...I would look around me at the raw Moroccan ...

How sweet it is...

... to surf!  I'm completely in love with this new passion.  I relate it a lot to yoga:  here I am, asking Mother Ocean if I may join with with her and become the wave.  I'm quite addicted now to heading out to the water to play.  I'm improving which pleases me; I haven't tried to learn a new sport in awhile to get better at.  I'm hungry for it, the joy of standing up and floating; I can say there's nothing like ...

So much fun in Morroco's Hotel Sofitel Agadir

... in the lush Palm Bay and enjoy the sun, because it's always there to light up your day! The opportunities for play during your day are plentiful, including a variety of water sports! There's also a golf course and tennis court. If you're more into relaxing than getting active, or need to wind down after too much activity, sip a rejuvenating beverage in one of the six bars inside ...

Sixth Day - Free day

... we went to the ocean to have some sun, because we still had no signs of visiting sunny warm country=) We all made some temporary tatoos, that's why we spent more than 6 hours under the sun without cremes or umbrellas =D That was my mistake, but nice to know that after all despite my obviously red skin, I would have a tan=) The whole body was burning, but I knew that's my only day to lie under the sun so i kinda liked ...

Fourth Day - watching more hotels

... Green. Has the only real SPA in all Agadir. Has grand conference rooms. Has lots of restaurants, cafe's, Facilities. Really Impressed. Rooms are ok though, nothing unusual, just good. Here we stayed for a free lunch, which was great, Yummy=)))

Lunch is over, time to work again.

Adrar Agadir 3* - Awful pool, rooms are good.

Argana 4* - Pool is simple, rooms are okay. But the view from the window is awful. Though the hotel ...

Second day - watching the hotels

... flashes of sun beams looks so beautiful while the cold breeze touches your body...
Just behind the hotel lies the walkway along the oceanshore, and after it lies the sand before the ocean itself. The beach is municipal, but some hotels (and ours too) buy some land on it to give their clients a place where they can lie, the chaise-longs, the towels and all that stuff ;)

After my lonely morning and a breakfast in hotel's main restaurant ...

First day - moving in the first hotel

Our plane landed in the airport of Agadir and after a short stop to fill the immigration cards we moved to the exit. There the bus was waiting and when all the people got in it we started to move to our destination - LTI Agadir Beach Club Hotel 4*. The Night city is awesome and ...

Going South again

... No signs of any airport bus or donkey cart. So I talked to one of the tourist bus drivers and at the end he gave me a lift into town. Free. How sweet, and a very nice start. In Agadir, there are small taxis and big taxis. The big ones are old Mercedes and they go as share taxis to destinations out of town, but they wait until they have 6 passengers. 4 squeeze on the back seat and two ...

Coastal Morroco: Just Add Surf

... hanging out with all of our new buddies which we wouldn't have traded for anything. It was definitely our Morocco moment which allowed us to get to know the people and what they really thought, or at least what they wanted us to think. Where else would practically the entire town (including people we had never met) spend their time flagging down buses for us and attempting to barter for some space for us and our luggage? When we finally found a bus ...

Diary of my first ever trip to Morocco

... else that looked remotely interesting. We went to the restaurant for lunch and got a sea view table, although we did agree it would have been better to find our own choice in the town. It was expensive at about 300Dh/£17.00 per head but then we did have wine and Pernod (or Ricard as it is called here). I had creamy veg soup which was tasteless and sea bream with two tiny potatoes and tomato. We were there for too long so had less time to see the sights. Went back to the ...
