... was that it was an Indian curry, but much less spicy that Indians would make it, so it was a Mauritian version of an Indian meal, and thus both were correct. I joked that Mrs. Prodigue was just being kind to me and sparing me the full magnitude of Indian curry, which can have an effect similar to that of a flame thrower.

... someone to let me go first as I was only buying stamps! One of the guys said 'mo meme mo ena ene tas mail, depi si pas ki l'heure mo la'. However, another guy did let me go before him which was really nice of him! ... French-speaking areas. Most of us sat around the dining room table for our service. We sang hymns, had an opening prayer and then I gave some news about our ongoing efforts as a church association. The basket was passed for our offering, and then I gave a sermon on the topic of suffering; the example Jesus set for us, and how we can learn from the times when we go through physical or emotional pain, especially for doing what it right.

Le Meridien on Mauritius is a fine place. Perfect for honeymooners. Good for families. For me? I may have been the only solo traveler in the place.
