The ship anchored in the bay and we went ashore on the ship's tender boats. In the morning it was reasonably calm, however getting back in the afternoon was a different story, boat rolling from side to side, a bit scary actually. Calvi, a charming island south of the French Riverina, the bay surrounded by mountains, so picturesque. The first real recorded history of Calvi was approx. 1000 BC, when ...

    A Totally Relaxing Day

... The massage was nothing like anything I've ever had before. I stayed fully clothed, darn. It was a Thai massage, and they get to trigger-points and push hard. They also put you into positions to stretch the large muscle groups. It felt really good. I just wish I could fully relax when I have a massage. That's what they are all about, right?

I got back to the room and showered and tried to call my mom several times. Her phone wouldn't work so ...

... a grocery store about 10 minutes from our hotel and got a yummy cheese, smoked prosciutto, bread and a beautiful little piece of pork pate with black truffles in it. Our room wasn't ready so we walked across the street and sat on a bench over looking the Mediterranean sea. It was gorgeous. We just can't get over the colors of the water. It is so crystal clear. I'll bet the snorkeling is amazing here.

... sides. We shared a lovely bottle of red wine (Patrimonio, 2011, from Domaine Giacometti). The curry wasn't what I had expected--it came with spaghetti, not rice, and had more turmeric than curry taste.

We got back to our hotel and had an after dinner drink. Eldon had the Myrte and I had the Limoncello. The myrle is some kind of fruit from the island here. It was tasty, but we couldn't understand what type of fruit it ...

... this tour, short as it was, was one of the best we had been on and our guide was excellent. Back on the ship we exited the port and headed for Tangier. Tomorrow we have a day at sea and arrive in Tangier at 4pm on Thursday. It will be nice to stop tomorrow and just relax on the ship. Tonight we are having dinner at Prime C. I decided to try my luck again at the blackjack table. I came away $50 up so all good. The seas are up a bit tonight so it might be a bit rough ...
