Le Chantilly Cagnes-sur-Mer

After brekkie it was onto Menton which is a lovely little town just before the Italian border. Menton is a much more down to earth place than its neighbours and more our scene. We found a park right on the beach and went for a wander and took in sum much needed sun. Next stop Italia!!<br>

... and not campervan parking friendly. We found a picture perfect stop just after Monte Carlo at the top of a hill overlooking the Med. We had the place to ourselves so we russelled up some brekkie in the sun which was lovely, so much so we were in t-shirts!!!

... wine bottle and then we thought they were off on the trail, but no they got in the car and drove on! <br> At the end of the gorge we joined the road towards Cannes, which was route Napoleon, orginially created by him as a pass through the mountains...very windy. Our destination for the evening was Grasse where we found a good park overlooking the city lights and our first view of the Med.

It was a pleasing drive towards Nice. Paul sited himself in the back of the car and was much more comfortable (vocally so). ... forget all of this and relax to the extreme. Monaco is not actually part of France, it is an independent province, whose residents pay no tax. Two things Monaco is most famous for is its Grand Prix, and the Monaco Casino which is glamour to the absolute. ... something scarier later - a Michael Jackson impersonator dancing on the promenade. He was "bad" ... it was just plain wrong. And the worst part? He couldn´t even get the easiest part right - though he was a white guy, he still wasn´t as white as Michael is. Would´ve taken a picture but was too scared and ran away screaming and crying when he offered me "Jesus Juice". At least he didn´t grab his ****** like Michael does.
