Well this is where we ended up after legging it from Saint Nicolas the terrible town! We park up in the local Carpark in town as the Aire was predictably full at 9pm. We get our heads down and put the TV on and watch Terminator 2 with sub titles like you do! We are still laughing at ourselves and the great escape! We leave in the morning very early to go to another Aire so we can enjoy our last full day in ...

... boys see us! The boys have been given instructions on how to run boat, flush toilets, open and shut locks. The locks are automatic now. Don't have to get off and do it manually anymore. All the boys have boat positions. Colin and steve are the rope men. Lou is engineer (sits and listens to engine and drinks). Graham was captain till he lost a boy! ( buoy attached to side of boat). So he is now rope boy and Colin is captain.

... tasty wild blueberries growing in many places which kept them going. Up in the Vosges we saw markers indicating the old boundary between France and Germany before the first World War. Even in the mountains one gets a strong sense of history of the place!

Our visit with Philippe and Stephanie finished with a beautiful dinner prepared by Stephanie and we set off the next morning for Nuremburg to visit Klaus, Irfhan's old travel ...
