    ... this area and then security hooked onto us and we didn't get back in ! We then wandered around but it was wet underfoot. Then I had a brainwave to wander into the water to the paddling boats. We were probably the only ones in shorts, so easy. We were now the closest spectators from the boats as they passed.     ... and help one another and none of us sure of sizes!

    We ate a casual dinner on the way back to the hotel, followed by gelato, and commented our different the less-crowded town appeared than the crowded day before. Chamonix is always one of our favorite places, and we were excited to be there for the race hub-hub, but it is better to view it as normal with the bustling shops and restaurants.

    ... and we got a short but sweet taste of the amazing rock that lies in that part of the world. It's hard to explain until you climb on it, but it's so solid and sticky that climbing on it feels very safe(and fun!).
