... the owners toy and he actually did ride it. I struggled with my bags down the two flights of spiral stairs - unfortunately the stairs are very loud and creaky at the best of times, so I sounded like a herd of elephants bounding down the stairs. I was at the train/bus station in plenty of time - as usual. Bus was already there but couldn't board until 10 min before. I loaded my bags in the luggage area - I learnt this on the ...

Peter entertained me with quite a few Irish jokes until we realised the table or burley blokes beside us were the Irish bikies who had parked their bikes down stairs at our hotel. There was a little bit of confusion with the toilet facilities at this cafe. ...

... a little layby and were envious of the sky blue water inviting us for a dip in the backyard pool of the house we had stopped by. There was also a cake on the outdoor table cooling in the sun - seemed a little odd. The chateaux we could see was actually Mick Jagger's 16th century villa La Fourchette. After visiting the chateaux, I would love to see what the average/normal house looks like! We have passed though ...

... 233; (was one of the many that inspired Walt Disney). Our joints were noticing the rocky path and the sun was now scorching down on us. We stopped for a refreshment and Vicky explored the castle. On the last leg of our journey we went through more vineyards and came across a huge mound - which was a store for wine/grapes - it was like a semi buries water tank. We arrived at Chinon and were greeted by the resident dog who was very affectionate. The ...
