... set up, selling mostly clothing. We went knto one of the hotels we had the name of, and decided to stay, choosing a 'superior room', which was large, had wifi and a tea/coffee maker, ( not that it really influenced me?!), and for €79 a night was good value.

This morning we set out for the ancient town of Turquant, a Troglodyte village. Homes carved out of rock many centuries ago and still inhabited today. Some used as storage for wine for the constant temperature and others are very arty with galleries and a glass blower, we picked walnuts that have fallen from the trees, fresh walnuts have an entirely different taste to the dried ones we get at home.

We are all very tired from our long trip today and i quickly throw a salad together and cook some fresh fish in garlic butter and lemon. ... the monks who used to tend the gardens. They could plant whatever they wanted, so they decided to put themselves into the potagers as rose bushes. The low waterfall that runs through the gardens and eventually out of the castle grounds has carp that rush to the surface when they see you; they think they're going to be fed. They're just a touch on the creepy side, what with their gaping mouths.
