        ... leisurely as the signpost said 4 hours to Condom. So we wandered again through fields and farms, through tunnels of trees, and arrived here at about 1, including a stop for lunch on the grass when we saw the town looming nearby. For the first time we met an American walker today - Scott from Boston! There are not many walkers visible along the route, but we have met some Canadians, Irish, Swiss, Dutch, ...

        ... also noticed a theme of cats in the village, and during our tour of the church and cloisters, there was a movie, fortunately with English subtitles, which as well as all the history, explained the cat motif. Apparently there was a famine and they started to eat the cats, and a girl named Angeline loved cats and saved 2, and when there was then a plague of rats the town was saved by these cats and their offspring ...

        ... year, when we have promised to play again. For 81yrs old, Honoré plays well, he can't walk the course anymore, but has his own buggy. The weather was perfect for golf, sun and cloud, 20c.         ... with butter and jam, and a hot drink. It was served so lovely. It's only a small room and it was soon full...all English! The group at the table next to us had bought a cake with a candle in it, for a friends birthday. When they sang to him the whole shop joined in.
