Decided we should make use of the car and headed off to Mont St Michel. One of the most visited places in France. Pleasant journey and Rich enjoyed the drive. Couldn't believe how good the traffics and people management was. Despite huge numbers of visitors got on. Shuttle bus within a couple of minutes. Mont St Michel rises spectacularly out of the ...

... our way to the top of the island, where the church and abbey were. Great views from there. The tide here is tremendous. It rises and falls 50 feet. We got there at low tide and couldn't see the ocean. When the tide is up, the water slaps against the walls around the village.
We left Mont St. Michel and headed for our next stop for the night in St. Malo. This is also on the coast, ...

... banks of the river has many half timbered houses and flowers everywhere. Out for dinner in the port if dinan, so just a stroll across the bridge. Highlight if my meal a plate of local seafood, the concoysters probably the best I've eaten, though not so keen on the bulos which were something like a whelk, but luckily david managed to eat them.
