We also spotted Beth doing something strange so she had to explain... An old Canadian Superstition - when the smoke from the campfire is coming towards you you repeat over and over "I hate rabbits" and supposedly it changes direction of the smoke.
After spending a few hours by the fire we were ready to de-smoke and recharge for our long day tomorrow!

... the drive back to Ottawa. It just so decided to snow like **** on the drive back which converted our normal 2 hour drive to 3 and a half. This stressed Jenny out a little bit as she was having her welcome home party tonight.
We finally arrived in Ottawa at about 9:30 and luckily no one had turned up yet. The party got under way at about 11 and it was a true American Pie style "kegger" Imagine 3 kegs, red cups, ...

We met a massive group of Canadians and Alex and I beat them in pool no less than 10 times in a row. As a result, they took the huge map on the wall of the hostel and drew a love heart around Perth. ... I think I only got stranded in the snow twice although Alex did manage to pretty much get me airborne after we hit what I'm assuming was a bump, but it turned into a jump at 20km/h. We arrived back at the 'pound' for want of a better word, unstrapped the dogs, and got given another 10 minutes to play with the dogs.
