      After the excitement of the race had calmed down we headed out for a late lunch at Spag and Co, an Italian restaurant right on the finish line. It is now time to celebrate Fathers Day. We had a great lunch but also watched some amazing athletes cross the line. By this stage most of them were in the 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79 and 80 to 84 age groups. We struggled to work out how people can still be doing these events in these age ...

      ... was 2 hours 49 .. Great time . Caught him in the transition to the run ... 2 hours 11 minutes , he slowed up the last 4 kms . Total time ; 5 . 41 woo hoo . So happy that he finished, no incidents ... His bike was fine , no equipment mishaps . Tried to see him on the run but missed him. VIP lunch and wine and it's all very special . VIP viewing for the swim and I am so close I get splashed! VIP breakfast and coffee and I'm thinking that ...

      ... cheese. You could also have fried onions and a range of other toppings. Most people were having the lot. Personally Noel and I weren't going back for seconds.

      Well... It's overcast and a little rainy which is a nice change from the heat of yesterday. Race day is meant to be fine . Amazingly magic afternoon evening complete with VIP banquet dinner , meeting new Canadian and American friends, great entertainment , team OZ photo, VIP viewing of stage area, U2 cover band , free drinks, fireworks and a deer sighting on the way back to the hotel ! Oh ... And the first song the band played at dinner ... Somewhere over ...
