Monday morning and we leave base and climb into cloud, hopefully heading
for Grand Ballon along La Route Des Cretes in the Vosges but unable to see anything, stop for a coffee on the tops and there are cows in the field with bells - sounds like we are
at a music school, cloud lifting and off we go for the 55 mile La Route Des
      Cretes around the ...

Vosges National Park. Good choice. Ended up at Camping les Jonquilles, with ...

We're at a small site run by 'Stan' just south of Nancy. It's all NL here (we have to call the that now as Gen only refers to people by the letters on their car) only one or two D's and no GB's (that's what Gen seeks out!) We've had the odd letter that we have to look up - there is S, DK, B, BL, ...

... Richie Porte who recently took the reigns of Team Sky. But before the main event we were eagerly awaiting the merchandise cars that come past, literally throwing stuff at us we were able to score loads of freebies. After this the big team buses and all the small official cars came through. All very exciting! The riders finally came through and the level of excitement definitely turned up a notch. All the hours waiting for those few minutes of cheering is well worth ...
