An uneventful day as left Madrid early heading for Biarritz on the Atlantic Coast. Our only stops were at yet another autogrill!! And at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. The museum is itself an art work constructed from Titanium and from the outside looks likes squashed tin foil. More recognisable was the huge flower dog, unfortunately not quite in bloom, but still amazing for its ...

Today we went to the beach All day and when the big waves came I called them storms. And I got bashed by a storm and grazed both of my knees. I got back up and went out again. I got bashed 20 times. I dug in the sand and made a pancake. We went to the market in the morning and there were HEAPS of dogs and heaps of motorbikes. We saw chickens for sale they were dead ...

... than climbing. The countryside now is like the Black Mountians or Brecon Beacons but about half as big again, very beautiful. I passed through a valley full of sheep, goats and sheep dogs but no shepherds that I could see. About 26.5 Km covered today. Tomorrow I hope to pass through PONFERRADA and get well beyond it. The New Zealander is suffering and wants a short day, so I shall probably move ahead of them tomorrow. Thinking of Annabelle a lot at ...
