I struck off in search of a bread shop for the morning sustenance. A small shop is on hill nearby and she has more sweets than normal groceries but at least she had bread….sorted.

I set off alone to walk the steps above the town to get an idea of it's layout, the No. 33 bus takes you along the promenade to, if I might call it the classy part of town. It is here you have the designer shops and plenty shoppers in them. ...

We ...

... of the Gironde River (the biggest of Europe) it is famous for its XII roman church built on a cliff. The town itself was built in 1284 by Edward 1st of England who reigned during this period in this part of France. A visit to the church and a wander around the town completed our visit. Back home for a leisurely afternoon involving a walk along the beach in front of our house. ...

... side salad. A great day out with good company and conversation. Oh and the other highlight of the day, I now have my Visa back!!! Westpac had put a block on it because one of the hotels we stayed at had added $1.84 from a U.S. site that they must have been associated with and my card want 'registered' to be used in the U.S.! Will have to have words with booking.com about ...
