The town itself was built in 1284 by Edward 1st of England who reigned during this period in this part of France. A visit to the church and a wander around the town completed our visit.     ... a movie set, the streets are cobbled and narrow and all the houses are really old and quaint, nice river running thru the centre of town and heaps of old churches. Tonight we are staying in an old Abbeye that has had the nuns rooms converted to guest accommodation. Something different!
