... the airport, thereby discretely crossing an international border. From then on I was in France. The airport really is located right on the border, and there are separate French and Swiss zones. After checking in, I waited in the Air France lounge and read Swiss and French newspapers as well as an interesting book my father suggested to me called Seven Men Who Rule the World from the Grave, all the while sipping cappuccino to make sure my eyes stayed open.

During our stay in Spa we had the most scary, horrible, unpleasant experience ever in a restaurant.

The restaurant to avoid is "Le Bouchon Gourmand", the owner does not hesitate to insult customers, lock them into the restaurant if there is a dispute on the bill, and claim more money than is due.

... I was just wondering what kinds of problems I was going to have and how many times I was going to look stupid with my German and how ****** off I was gonna be when I got back tonight. I was scared. But, surprisingly and much to my relief, everything worked out just splendidly!

I hope tomorrow will be just as successful as today.

WHEW!! all of this stuff has to get done sometime, I guess. I am just glad things are finally starting to come together, or at least they will have a little more by tomorrow night.

... They told us we were at the highest point in Belgium, which was somewhere in the Nature Park.

We decided to call it a day for the roadbook, and make a detour to just get into Luxembourg for fuel, and to make sure we 'did' all the countries.

Looking back that detour cost us some time, but did mean we visited Luxembourg, even if it was too dark to see it.

... time. That means that some people were eating while other people were done. It was weird, because they knew we were coming and we even had our food pre-ordered, so they knew what dishes to make. I guess it was because we were such a large group, about 80 people.

After lunch we took a walking tour of the city. They split our large group into three smaller groups to make it more managable. The city is ...

So now I am at school. Things are much different here. The teachers don’t have their own classrooms, they move around like the students do in the US. Sometimes you will see a teacher will a cart with all of her/his materials, or they will just be carrying them. I was supposed to see an English class, but they were taking a test ...

... the inside because there was a sign up that said you have to pay 2 Euros to take pictures with your own camera. I thought that was pretty bogus! It may have been because it was a Saturday and there were alot of tourists out. I think its weird though that a church is trying to make money off of people admiring it. There is an amazing mosaic on the ceiling with millions of tiles. Its very ornate and you could look at it for hours ...

... noticed my rear wheel was untrue again. We stopped to have a look only to realise I had snapped yet another spoke. I adjusted the tension in the nearest ones so that I could continue, but we will have to get to a bike shop soon to get it fixed. Perhaps picking up a few extra spokes wouldn't be such a bad idea.. ... Today: 101,79 km, 5h42m57s, 17,81 kmh avg, 60,6 kmh max. Tour total: 750,82 km.
