We set off at 8:00am on a four hour bus ride from Avignon to Nice, a much more Italian town. We saw the Bay of Angels, our first glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea from the bus. No such luck, tired we return to the van for refreshments which are few and far between, we have not passed a supermarche to replenish stocks.

At 3.30pm sharp, a burley french madame opens the office doors. She is obviously the camp concierge ...

... and go directly south to tackle the fjords without wasting time going outside of town via bus, checking in, and waiting for the bus back.

My plan is to continue to Marseille Sunday morning, exploring the city and hopefully finding a beach. Monday I have my flight back to London. I am looking forward to seeing my friends in London and celebrating my birthday with them on Wednesday, but I am truly a warm-weather girl and will miss the beautiful sunshine and Mediterranean sea! ...
