Another day of cruising on the riverboat as we make our way to Provence. Today, a three hour stop in Tain l'Hermitage where we toured a winery (with just horrible wine), the Valrhona chocolate boutique (Barefoot Contessa says this is the best chocolate in the world), and an art gallery. It was an interesting night's sleep beside the lake, being interrupted by noises from the assorted wildlife, including what sounded like chattering. ... back in time to an era of Kings and Queens. We climbed a beautiful staircase to each of our floors, and meandered our way through the mazes to our rooms.

My room had a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a beautiful big bathroom. The hallways reminded me of the scenes in the Titanic movie when she is running up and down looking for help, with no life anywhere and then the lights flicker. Our lights didn't flicker, but they did turn off to 'save power'.

... in February was amazing. Anyhoo. So, seeing as there were 13 of us together in the group, we were seperated into pairs and sent off to live with host families. Myself and my homegirl Sarah were sent off to spend a couple nights with the Ngongar family who lived about 5 minutes from the church.
