Oh what a night!!
... out that we needed refreshments. I am so proud of myself. I ordered 2 local white lagers on tap. Granted I had my phrase book in front of me, the bartender smiled and was happy to serve us. I felt so good about my speaking ability that I asked for another. When in france!! We went back to the hotel to meet Marlin and here we sit waiting for him to take us to some Tomb restaurant. ... prunes! sadly stephanie has broken out in some sort of rash, so the first thing on out to do list is to try and find a pharmacy and get something to ease her itchies. the pharmacy was right across from the hotel. they really don't have benadryl, but the phamacy person recommended something else. i hope it works.

Another Country

The afternoon was spent very happily being bussed into Alsace for a wine tasting visit to one of the local cellars. The scenery was lovely, and those colours still amaze. The wine tasting was interesting as the region considers it is a cool climate area so comparisons were in order! We enjoyed every wine we tasted - thank goodness it was too far to post back!

That would have been 12-15 feet over the wall of the river. Most spectacular for me were the old city walls, old buildings and numerous castles.
