Arrived on site at about 3:30pm after a really pleasant drive through the countryside, we actually crisis crossed motorways we could have used but why bother when we can go at the same speed and not pay tolls! The site is mostly closed down for the winter with a small number of pitches in use, most of them are full at the moment with transitees like us, although we are the only Brits, most are Dutch heading South.
There are no really big pitches and all are bordered ...
... grass pitches! We had a few cheeky San Migels before hitting the pool to cool off. Tonight we sampled the on site restaurant- si had a steak (looked like horse) and I had chicken- it was really nice and not doing dishes was even better! I washed it all down with a €1.20 glass of rose! Bargain! Few more drinks at the van and an early night the weather is cooler so we should have a good night sleep! Night ...

We made our way to Laguiole to buy knives (of course). We checked out a few options and then had some lunch. The first restaurant was like a massive, airless food hall that kept on going and going. We left and ended up in another where the waiter was abrupt, but the steak was good. We walked up to the forges to see where the famous knives were made. After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...
... told us of the local dish which was to be the evening dinner special it was called Truffade. We later on went with that, it consisted of potatoe fried with bacon in Cantelle cheese , basically a fondue served with a crisp green salad and procuitto on the side, the idea was to mix it all up on your plate and man it was good.
