      ... the runway far to slow for take off and then turned for take off in the opposite direction as we seen overfor the past 3 weeks! Rats! Once airborne we expected the plane to head straight to St. Maarten ahead but the plane banked and flew right over the island and Reese's home. We got a better look than we would have if we had taken off as was usual. Although it is fuzzy, we can make out his little parcel of cottages on the mountainside. Tot Ziens Statia!

      ... frills flight. We were glad we had thought to pack a lunch for the trip. It became our breakfast on the plane. A sandwich and a drink cost $17.00 on board. We read and slept through the 3 hour flight and then stepped out on the tarmac in St. Maarten to a nice warm breeze.
