... From the Palace we walked to the casino area. We were told where we would meet up later and a group of us went to dinner. We went to a pizza restaurant, it was crowded and hot but there was some great food. I decide that i was having a night off from drinking alcohol to-nite, so i stuck with water. The entire circuit is fenced off and viewing points don't exist and they are screened off, walking around is near impossible as you need a pass to go anywhere . the good news was the race was just finishing and by 7 pm they were to open the streets again. Left Positano at the ungodly hour of 5 am by a "transfer", arranged by Marcello of Icnos Travel (a fancy way to describe a cab ride, though this one was a fairly new Mercedes...) to the airport of Napoli. It was the only way to get to Nice and to the train station for the ride up the Provence hills to Digne Les Baines.

Easyjet was the airline (our friend Elaine clued us in on this secret) we booked from Napoli to Nice - no frills, ...
