... we’ll get to what it feels like in the Tour de France.

The plan was to take it easy today, keep the heart rate and power down and not get carried away with excitement of the race. We’re going to need to do that for at least a couple of more days so that we have energy to get us through the week. If we overdo it now, we’ll pay later. The plan worked. ... Andorra La Vella. An amazing sensation - a large city crowded in on all sides by steep mountain sides, in an alpine gorge less than a kilometre wide. No hope of stopping and parking ( we had been forewarned by friend Miles) so we drove through. Then we decided to head for the hills and look for camp spot. Whoopee, there was space and shade, so we got the chairs out, pulled out the awning and opened a bottle of ...

The weather continues to get hotter! After yesterday's reliance on Snooper, I looked carefully at the map before we left. We followed the red tourist train along the valley. We passed by Puilaurens, yet another Cathar castle perched high on the mountain ridge. How did they build them? We found the aire in Quillan easily and having parked, we only had a couple of km to go to get our shopping. Smartie is sooo ...

... a laugh. We headed off in search of breakfast (yes JP sort the cabin coffee out mate..getting caffeine withdrawals...) and stopped again in Biert for the obligatory coffee! With Bruno in his Auberge Gypaete Arbu nice...he is a rocker of old with dreads and plays loud rock music in his bar! After some provisions were bought for the day we headed back up the steep road and goat track and immediately set to work packing up the ...
