I am dripping wet in water the temperature of a sunless planet where heat no longer exists. I am chilled to the bone. I feel like an ice cube, freezing solid. ... see the brown bears and we were lucky to witness their performance/ behaviour whilst being fed. The highlight at dinner involved eyeballing a hungry donkey on the other side of the window!!
Our hike at Lescun was difficult to capture in photos. We were surrounded by snow capped peaks, beautiful green valleys and had griffon vultures constantly flying by. From our pincic spot, it felt more like we were in an aeroplane.

... I envisaged on our trip around Spain. I have to remember that we are at 1400 metres so I guess it is to be expected.
Saturday 31st May
It was overcast and cool this morning but not to be deterred we set off to the Sant Maurici Lake at the head of the valley. Initially the path took us through pastureland and we passed a shepherd complete with his crook, his dog and his flock of sheep.

When we finally got there, we could see people lining the main bridge across the river. Rob suddenly said -' Good God - there's a car in the river!!'

As we negotiated the one way system it became obvious there was some sort of Fair or procession going on, with bands and a group of men in long costumes with banners, followed by people on horseback.- and guess what ended up at the Tail End of the parade - a great big white motorhome!!
