Other aspects that impressed us was the efficiency of waitstaff. There's always table service and when the venue is busy the staff almost run from one task to the next. We love the diversity of our food at home and we seem to 'eat our way around the world', but here there is mostly traditional food, and usually from the region or ...

The rain started after lunch and we quickly did the shopping we needed before heading back to Monty. We found when we were at a previous aire, ...

He is gone for ages and we start to worry, but he returns and tells us he thought there was something not right about the car. His gut instincts once again are spot on.

Three parking inspectors are surrounding the car as he rounds the corner. In his ...

... with frustration at not being able to pass them. Really nothing much to see at all. Flat farmland everywhere. Drizzling rain has given way to pouring rain as we approach Tours, its nearly 4.30pm. We have been on the road for many hours. Really keen to get to our Gite. We stopped to buy fresh fish and salad for dinner and a bio break

Past Samaur and on toward Brossay. Finally through the village and we arrive at the gite.

      It is stunning. Huge ...
