    ... the schools were just coming out. At a strange mixture of betting shop and cafe, for a break we were able to assess the scene. Definitely not a good vibe as far too busy and this is out of season! Our expected cycling routes were non-existent where we were (maybe on sea front?)Our bikes survived trip but both out of practise and chain fell off Liz's bike.

    ... had a wood burning stove, it was the cutest thing! The only flaw was that our hot water lasted one minute so our showers were not enjoyable but we traded it for the great view, fireplace and kitchen, of course. Our landlord did not speak any english whatsoever so it was a real treat waking her up at 9:00 pm at night to get her to fix the breaker that we blew. Apparently we were not supposed to have the heater and the blow dryer on at the same time. "No, no" were the only words ...
