... for company. Above the fir trees sit patient clouds, though they weren't so patient when we arrived. Nice weather for...the beautifully coloured ducks that just skimmed across the top of the water in front of me. Two hours ago it was ******* down but now the sun shines brightly. It's that kind of terrain.

It has to be said - it beats being 20 miles east of Paris for that was as far as we had reached until this morning. Not that there's anything ...

campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. Brilliant and purpose built for 4 vans by the sports fields a short walk from Centre Ville. Services perfect for 2€ the quietest Aire to spend a few days. Really like this place. This is a very interesting village. Oh my word. I didn't expect to see anything quite like this little hamlet. The clock has stopped it seems after the Second World War. ...

... leave in cars. Luckily I find the spot where the bus will take me to Vesoul, and although my electronic ticket I thought included this leg, I just fork out the 6.45 Euros to the bus driver! More delightful French countryside, although I am looking forward to arriving by this stage. In Vesoul at last at 8.30 pm....I wander the streets asking directions a couple of times to end up at the hotel du Lion at 8.45pm! Zut alors! I am not hungry but could do with some wine! Vesoul is a ...

We went there cause we wanted to go to the some camping called Les Hirondelles (18€) which we discovered last year. It is nice, quiet and out of our book of small campings. A big advantage is that the lady of the camping cooks a wonderful trout which comes out of their private lake, so again we really enjoyed our evening dinner on their terrace. They still remembered us and we chatted a little with our neighbors as well. We were quite tired so went for a ...
