It is truly a remarkable piece of architecture and dates back to 708AD, OMFG I was about to walk into something that is over 1,300 years old, how fricken cool. It is very gothic and very imposing. But the good thing was we went traveling. It has been fun.

Next we are off to Disney land. It is going to be SO FUN! ...

      Gorgeous!
We were able to join an English speaking tour in the Abbey where we found out about the history.
There is so much because it was built in 900's.

I found it very interesting, not sure the kids did. They were very patient during the hour long tour but as soon as it ended we got the I'm hungry and when are ...

... my Normandy experience! I had chicken in a cider sauce with fries. More importantly, I got a great view of Omaha beach during dinner! I struck up a conversation with a man from California who also was here for DDAY and he described the trip perfectly. He said it is like a pilgrimage that everyone has to make and he is just lucky enough to be here on the actual date. So true! After my dinner, I stopped at the cemetery for one last goodbye. Well, it was a quick goodbye since they close at ...
