Connor was doing his PADI exam this evening - Bruno will collect him early in the morning and bring him to us, before we head off to the mainland. They have arranged for a speedboat to come to our hotel and take us across, then we get a vehicle and driver to take us to the Reserve de l'Ankarana where we should see different species of lemurs.
Looking forward to seeing him!
After a decent sleep, we looked out to see the blue of the ocean at the end of the garden. We had breakfast at tables just above the sand, overlooking the ocean - it's a funny little place, quiet, quaint, not much happening. The breakfast was typically French - very good coffee, some fruit, crepes, bread roll and jam. Simple but not very filling.

Then of course when we stood waiting, with bated breath, for the luggage handlers to bring the bags through - three of our four bags were there quickly. But not mine – some French people were also missing their luggage, probably 10 of us in total. So, I had to complete forms, ...
... and tell a nice story about the boats and prices. We already smelled something was wrong and walked to the boats and found out the right way and price! Really anoying to fight all the time about this. Even if you buy some bananas!

First they took us to a market that was very crowded and full of fruits, vegetables, fish and animals. People in this part of the world eat only the freshest foods and they shop daily. Back on the bus we rode a few miles to a outdoor kiosk where there were lemurs and brightly colored chameleon and one of them jumped on me and crawled up my camera strap to my head and took a small bite of my finger as I tried to get him off ...
