Well we got to France but not to Carcassonne. After seeing that the temperatures were going to be 35 today and 38 tomorrow in Carcassonne we decided to stay at the coast for a day until the temp drops by 10 degrees. This morning's breakfast at the hotel was the biggest and best spread of the trip so far, and at a very good price, too. Less impressive was the accounting at the front desk at check-out. I don't know why the innkeeper was so unprepared with the billing; it was a total mess.
