    ... is fab and air conditioned. Chilled for a bit then all showered then found a basic but great tapas bar - friendly service and fab food and cheap to boot.     This morning we went for an early morning ride in the dark. We left at 5am and got back around 6.30am.

    While we were just coming out of Pouzolles I heard an owl above me. We went from Pouzolles to Roujon and Neffies and back. It was fun, We could see lights flashing on the hill.     ... in the right direction. The weather was a bit iffy but improved as the day went on. We passed through some lovely unspoilt villages which have just stopped in time. Cucugnan, Maury, a brilliant hillside town with wall paintings in the Centre Ville, Lesguerde where we could fill up our Bidon's with fresh Spring water.     ... back to Cascastel and learned that our train for tomorrow was more than likely not going to run. There has been a strike for over a week and unfortunately tomorrow appears to have the same issues.

    The route jiggles about a little, but, basically, is not difficult to find, if you remember you just have to keep heading down hill.

    This is much shorter, prettier, and quieter, than the route I took this morning, which simply followed the main road into town.
