August 5 thWe woke to another beautiful warm and sunny morning so we decided to leave Ile d'Yeu at 8.30am sails up, engine of straight away and the seas were flat, melon and home baked bread for breakfast fantastic way to start the day. ... just had to stop Bella from nicking everyone else's bucket and spades, mainly two little French boys she befriended. Bit late for Thai red curry when we got back, so had pasta bolognase with spinach and tomato farfalle (chosen by Ben), another poo on the potty ( that's 4 days no accidents!) so a trip to the park (and the bar!). ... at about 10.15 and by 12.30 we had enough wind to put the genoa up and turn the motor off peace at last. I did the log all day gave David a break and I enjoyed doing it.We then sailed all way to Ile d'Yeu but had to wait a while until they told us where to moor. Woke up this morning to find someone had nicked our jolly roger! Hank reckons it was drunk youths on their way back from the bar. Cheeky *******s. Hadn't even taken a picture. ... 35 entrance fee as to start with it only looked like one room! It had also completely stopped raining by its point and was v hot and sunny. But it turned out to be fab. Lots of little tanks and several giant ones, all themed around a place eg Maldives, Red Sea, Caribbean etcetera. Saw lots of sharks and star fish, lobster, crabs etc, kids loved it.
