... Traveling on around the island we stopped for lunch in Marigot, the capitol on the French side of the island. There was a harborside open market with lots of restaurants. Barb had stewed fish and I had curried goat plate lunches. Large servings of "dirty" rice, plantains, salads, both green and potato, filled us up! The town was packed and colorful with a true french atmosphere and lots of bakeries.

one night of the year, this place is really special. Very difficult to get to...... very difficult, nearly impossible to get accommodation on land. Very difficult to get a mooring as well. You will definitely have to book at least a year in advance to stand any chance whatsoever. And
