      For
one night of the year, this place is really special. Very difficult to get to...... very difficult, nearly impossible to get accommodation on land. Very difficult to get a mooring as well. You will definitely have to book at least a year in advance to stand any chance whatsoever. And
because of all these things, I now understand exactly why the super rich and jet set go there. And as we would say in England, NO RIFF RAFF ALLOWED! By Order!

There is a very famous artist called Escher. He did drawing of the most impossible things, very much like Heath Robinson. Well, Escher did a drawing of a waterfall running down several flights of stairs, and would you believe it.... ending up at the original height again. A brilliant optical illusion. Well, ...

... expires every ninety days, so to keep ourselves legal, we always take a small vacation, or holiday. Well, a couple of weeks ago decided to go to the ‘famous’ French Island of St Barts. Technically its real name is Saint Bartholomew and it belonged to the Norwegians. This fact accounts for the Capital being named Gustavia. There is no way in this world that the French would ever countenance having a foreign name as the capital of one of their colonies! Fortunately, ...

... light aircraft on the tarmac with names like Carib Air etc and think why not ask at Information counter about Island flights as Shailja is still having difficulty with visas and my need to Island hop to catch up with our yacht. i walk miles and back through security to find a very helpful lady who outlines many different options for SS to fly from SJ to Guadeloupe and Isle De Saintes two possible embarkation points. 45 minutes to get back to gat A1 seems reasonable.
