Finally, 6 hrs on the plane was manageable so again far away places would not work so well.
And, with respect to packing, we are always "Under" the allotment and this time I should have packed more clothing particularly for Larry. In the South, you sweat a lot when biking and in the north, we needed warmer clothes.

... Montreal. Found a really helpful guy who gave me exact directions to get to the apartment I am staying in for the next 3 nights. It is in the Village area of the city. The area is very quiet, but close to lots of shops and food.

... a tonne of photos but the highlight for me was definitely the Lynx! They were so awesome I could have just watched them for ages! I had no idea their paws were so huge! Anyways that about sums up Montreal. I loved it once we got in but on hindsight I get the feeling their complicated roads may be designed to keep pesky travellers out sorta like the moat to a French castle....I may be onto something there. From here we headed up into the Mont Royal Park which is a large hill, summit at 233 meters, which affords great views of the city. We climbed and climbed, made our way up stairs and eventually made our way to a viewing balcony and took some great shots of the Montreal skyline (see photos). There is a law in Montreal that no building can be taller than the Mont Royal summit ...
