The quest to start the cruise was not an easy one. The drive from Tucson to Phoenix was in the dark and off-and-on rain. Once we arrived at the off-site parking and boarded the shuttle, we thought the worst was behind us. We arrived at our Delta gate at Sky Harbor with 2+ hours to wait. ... I mastered the Metro. I knew what day it was better to get a $10 day ticket (with all the trips I did it turned out to be $2 a trip) and when to get a return $5.50 or a single $3. I knew my station, which direction it was to and from the location I was endeavouring to get to. I was thoroughly impressed by the ease and simplicity of the system.

... I have a hair straightener and perfume - two items that were sadly lacking at the beginning of the trip. Although, here in Montreal, my hair is silky smooth. Wandered around a bit more and realised it was wine time. Went to the bar attached to the hotel and asked for a wine list. ... guys to fit the tires. The bike mechanics are cool and we chat about bikes and travel as they swap the tires. With the old knobby tires gone and less aggressive tread fitted the bike feels great. The Cat Empire is playing at the Jazz Festival and I catch their show along with some great fire breathing street ...
