... idea of what it looks like. Coolest building ever.
We spent the afternoon at Reno Depot again to get some more stuff for the apartment. In the 4 hours we were there, Jenny picked a counter top, bought some cupboards a sink and some other stuff. We picked up some food and headed back to Ottawa. We went to her brothers place when we got back and I watched the hockey with the boys. Today is the day we board our much awaited cruise on the Silver Whisper. Have just watched the Whisper berth here in Montreal around 7:30am. We are to board about 1:00pm this afternoon, much anticipation. We wandered down into Old Montreal to a cafe on the corner of Saint Jacques & Pierre, where again we met up with an Australian couple from Noosa also boarding the Whisper today. ... swapping languages. After wandering around downtown Montreal we decided to regroup back at the B&B before we headed back into town. The plan was to go to a bar next to the club where 'Arcade Fire' were playing at and see if we can spot them or even better if we could somehow score tickets. We had read that it was only a tiny club and all the tickets were taken by the bands friends and family or hard core fans that had lined up for 8 hours the previous day. We had ...
... for a third cart, the first two having failed. Finally, close to two hours after departure time, we took off.
A lot of standing up and sitting down later, and an interminable time waiting for luggage and I got to climb onto familiar public transportation and felt the first tremours of relaxation. The rest of the ride felt comfortable. The stairs to my apartment felt comfortable. My cat was comforting. This chair is comfortable.
... laid out a little like New York and the old part (where our hotel is situated,) has very attractive red road signs on the lamp posts, rather than white with black lettering.
I noted too that strangely the cars have no registration number at the front, making them look very bare.
