... wrestling and twice a day all the kids got to feed our leftovers to the chickens and collect the eggs. Remarkably the villa owners, Linda and George also had a fish pond.... so on our final day we convinced Mitch that Jacques deserved a better home than a plastic box and he was released into the pond with all the big boys! Can't wait to plan another European vacation with the Scarlett's in a year or two!! Eeny, meeny, miny, moe on the location! ...

Well actually, two months have passed in the blink of an eye and I have to say we've loved every minute of it. Somewhere between being thousands of years old (it was the capital of ancient Gaul) and being surrounded by the best wine/cheese country in the world, Lyon has had time to refine an art of living that has managed to seduce a cross-section of even the ...

... needed shower back at the hostel we were taken to a very french restaurant located in the old town in a cave! It was refreshingly cool and Pierre the owner was a fab host. The tastiest salmon terrine that I have ever had by far! To drink or not to drink?!! After a long day and some wine I was ready for my bunk at 0030... Not sure what time the lunatics came back but Lyon looked like a city ready to party and on a Friday night and over 500 miles covered with a rest day tomorrow, Why ...

      Hey all!

After class on Friday, we had a class field trip to the Silk Museum in Lyon. I thought that this museum was much cooler than the Lumiere museum. I learned a lot about the silk industry and the history of silk in France. After the museum, our teacher took us to the best ice cream place in Lyon, which is in a beautiful square. We all ordered beautiful and huge ice cream sundaes, but I have to say they tasted even better than they ...
