    - What's with the shower caps in the hotels? There must be enough people using them to keep up with this demand:)

    - There are A LOT of TIRED dogs (small, big, old, young) in Italy. The owners are dragging and pulling their dogs along the streets. It's an odd sight. We've been pondering on the fact that either the owners ...

We were concerned we would get lost, and hotel man said it was easy to (that fills us with confidence!) but we managed to get to town and back with no wrong turns! Although I think part of the fun is ...

... and instead took the time to walk, eat, be entertained by the street performers and enjoy some of the most glorious crumbling architecture we had ever seen.

I loved Venice and I wouldn't have done it any other way. To rush through Italy in an attempt to see multiple places with only a one or two days at each location does not do these amazing places justice. Take at least 3-4 days (if not more if you are so fortunate) and get a real feel for it. ...
