... to the border. Only to be driving down the road to a closed border crossing! Not sure what was going on but we had to turn around and find another way in. Luckily it wasn't too far back. As we had changed route we also changed destination, so we were now on our way to a town called Novi Sad. We parked at a camp site outside of town- quiet, rural, over-priced, and will head into town tomorrow.

I can agree with that - despite their friendliness and inclination towards amusing banter, the Serbs have rivalled and probably overtaken the English as the most savage drivers of the trip. All machismo, all accelerator, brakes are for girls, no gap is too small for an overtake manoeuvre. Novi Sad to Belgrade tmrw promises to be a bit hectic....Walks around town. Centre is nice, typical cafe culture going on. ...
