... these places are usually full of big headed pretty ******* that get all the fit women, but it's home to one of my friends i met in Leeds called Kalinka. Kalinka is a university friend of a girl i met while traveling south east Asia who lives in Leeds so I met her a couple of times on random nights out and we got on well. One thing I admire about South Africans is their hospitality and true to form, when i mentioned to Kalinka i was heading to her neck of the ...
Jefferys Bay, South Africa jordanblair100... like graham the demented ground hog, or Meerie the tame meerkat etc. Lunch at 1 and then the food process starts all over at 2 again. After every meal serving for the birds we also had to do what was called 'Chicken Dishes'. There was a schedule so you had to do it probably every second day or so, you'd take the plates you took out of the enclosures to a shed like area outside and fill a bucket with cold freezing water and wash all the dishes. At first ...

... water was cold but not freezing so in between shopping we took off down to the beach for a swim, body bash, sunbathe and to watch the boats battle it out against the breakers. Quite a spectacle. As much as he'll hate to admit it, Oliver turned into a shopping machine. He was loving it, although thought shopping with me a pain cause I never objected to anything. Buy buy buy! Usually after a stressful day laying on the beach or shopping we retired to a bar or restaurant ...
Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa oliveramber... site and asked if we would be interested in going on a cool kayaking weekend away, kayaking into a wilderness park on Saturday, sleeping on a river beach for one night, and continuing till Sunday afternoon. He said he needed to check the general course and state of the river after some huge floods earlier in the year may have changed the rapids. We all said yes, or yah as they say here. Cooper Out to kayak some rapids. Love Dan & Kat
TerraPi, South Africa coopertrooper... I am staying, this is the most expensive at $70 for a night. But believe me, the view is worth it. My bed is about 50 feet from the ocean. The crashing waves are so strong that I can feel the vibration on the floor! Once I dropped off my stuff in the room, I set out to explore the national park. I set out on the "otter" hiking trail that heads up the coast. I have to say, this is by far one of the ...
Tsitsikama, South Africa robthebruce... prize being a 'fish bowl' which is a bowl filled with a cocktail of most of the drinks behind the bar (this hostel has a reputation for being a party hostel, but Monday nights are usually quiet after the weekend). The bar doesn't close which is pretty dangerous.....I snuck off to bed at 1.30am, Ben, Chris and the girls were last people standing in the bar at around 5am......and that's apparantly a quiet night ...
Jeffreys Bay, South Africa cat2222... I one and a fish bowl full of god knows what was plonked in front of me did I realise that the winner gets drunk for free. The parties are pretty cool. You go to the bar to get a beer and the barman throws these random shots your way!!!!!! We met a couple who are getting married in Island Vibe on the 15th. One is from Manchester and the other South Africa. They return to Island Vibe every year and decided to get married on the ...
Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa jonnyandgill... decided to try our luck. Only a 3 bedroom apartment was available that night. We were gutted, but being a sucker for punishment and all, Colan asked the question: "For the sake of my morbid curiousity, can you please tell me the price?" The answer was 250. "250 RAND?" we asked, not quite believing it (250R is about US$35) - and the answer ...
