      Making the most of the sunshine

      ... are the lovely big lake and the endless woodlands and green spaces. Kids, dogs, bikes, games, picnics, ice creams, even cricket matches, it all happens in Clumber! We did the 10 mile cycling circuit (with a brief stop for sandwiches half way round) and had a great time. At the end we rewarded ourselves with a good old Mr Whippy!!

      Nico headed back to Nottingham early evening for a day of work on Wednesday and the girls got themselves an overdue early night!

      ... from many eras of history. Chris and I didn't have any experiences, but Chris really wants to stay in one of the four rooms at the Inn some time. I couldn't leave York without having Yorkshire pudding, so that's what I had with some Bangers and Mash for dinner. Yorkshire pudding is definitely not pudding whatsoever. It's more akin to a fried bread/pastry/dough thing. It was good.

      All in all, it was a perfect day trip for us, and a wonderful time.

      ... a nap, then feeling refreshed decided to go out that night. We went around to a few pubs, then ended up a kinda dodgy nightclub. It was cool though because they were playing some old school 90s and early 00s songs, so we were singing along.

      We rested on Thursday, slowly working our way through Game of Thrones and watched 'The Taking of Deborah Logan'. If you are into scary/horror movies I would highly recommend it.

      As Stewart and I knocked on the door of number 3 we wondered whether the occupant would be at home. We hadn't called to say we would be coming but nevertheless was hoping she would be in.
