Another cool (haha) attraction in Queenstown is the Ice bar, 'Minus 5'. This is a bar where they give you 'Arctic Explorer' jackets, send you into a bar which is kept between -5 and -10 degrees and you drink cocktails out of glasses made from ice!!! Simple but brilliant. We spent half an hour looking at the ice sculptures before we couldnt feel our fingers!

Queenstown to Christchurch

Depart 8am. We head over the Lindis Pass through to the MacKenzie country to Lake Pukaki for the Mount Cook lookout (you can get off at Twizel to go to Mt Cook), and scenic Lake Tekapo. Then it is an express haul across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch.

... up here. They have a concrete luge track you can ride down on a luge sled on wheels. I actually did this when I was younger at Winter Park, Colorado where they have a similar set-up. There was also a tandem parasailing opportunity that takes you back to the bottom where you land in a field.
