We met up with the Imbros Gorge walkers at the village of Komitades for lunch and some Mythos beer.

On our ride back to Rethymno, we stopped in the village of Vrises. We watched a local lady make lace using 14 different bobbins. She was asking 50 euro for a 6 inch square that took her 20 days to make. Steve enjoyed a Chocolate Eclair at the bakery.

... the time to relax and catch up on a few things. We were imersed with the best 'Pita Gyros' ever - esentially a kebab with fries only Greek style! It's ground breaking to say the least..

The weather wasn't brilliant but the Greek girls made up for it! The local men had no idea how lucky they are...it's as if they have their own little world down on Crete!

Ahhh Crete. One of the many fantastic places I have been wanting to visit during my time here in Greece. My journey began with a ten hour ferry ride from Peiraeus to Heraklion (Athens to Crete). We checked out Rethymnont today which was a nice stop. Tons of shops and restaurants and we had a nice meal at Melody restaurant. At the hotel, I was called reception asking for feather pillows. She said they had a pillow menu and named off about 7 different pillow types but then said for you I recommend the 'anti-aging' pillow.
