We spent the rest of our afternoon there at the Museum of Human Evolution which was interesting and very well done, including exhibits on the Sierra de Atapuerca archaeological site, and a whole floor dedicated to ...

I counted at least 5 massesd going on in different chapels. Had a mosey around the area and decided to push on. Out of burgos there was a park. I had purchased some Cheese and Jamon and Bread stick and so I sat in the park with my very own picnic and just soaked up the delicious sunshine. Walk on Jim Walk ...

... of many miles to create a wider road and split level junctions at every intersection with a minor road, or even a farm track. The question is not so much one of whether the work has stopped, but of why it ever started in the first place, given that the peaje goes to/from the same places. It seems that a few years ago, Spain had money to burn ....

I get to the edge of Burgos at about 5.30pm. It's still blazing hot, around 30C now, and the traffic is quiet. 351 miles today.
