... the area on the back of my ankles where my boots rubbed. I'm wearing them now to walk around Burgos and my feet feel like they're on clouds compared to the boots. I just have to remember to grab my "botas" before I leave the alburge tomorrow.

... and stretching - so now it is hopeful that plans b through f may not have to be deployed after all! :) Tonight in Belorado while enjoying a pre dinner Cava y pinchos (small bites) we were serenaded by the most wonderful impromptu violin concert by a fellow pilgrim who is also a concert violinist from Paris - just magical!! Who said the Camino doesn't balance by giving after it also challenges you!! So tomorrow onto Saint Juan de Ortega - 24.3km ...let's just see how we go!!! ...

It was a dark and We left a cloudy Belorado around 8 am. It wasn't until mile five when the rain came down. Luckily we were just entering Villafranca and took shelter in a near by bar. ... miracle of Burgos. To finish the night, we had the earliest possible pizza (8pm) from a lovely waitress in a lovely side street, as well as a bottle of La Rioja wine, made in the last province we were in. We stayed out until nearly 11pm, wandering amongst the real people who had exploded onto the streets, even though it was only a Thursday night.
