    nice and clea place to stay. It is not very cheap but worth the price. One of the better places in Tilcara

    We left town for the salt flats. Angie told us that we would have to go up about 10,000 feet in elevation on the trip to the salt flats.

    The road we took was in very good condition, but it just kept going up and up. We were soon high above where the cactus grew and there was only a little bit of grass.

    ... Nick and another biker and so followed them along the winding road of the sandstone hills. This road was just magical and most bikers could take most of the curves at about 70mph but it was right under hundreds of feet of sandstone cliff and so there was rocks all over the road so it just was not worth the chance going fast.

    It was time to head out into the mountains again. A fellow traveller had recommended Tilcarra & Purmamarca to the north of Salta, so we headed there. It did not disappoint.
