Tried to get myself out of bed early around 9am. I knew I am not gonna be making the early trains like yesterday. Got to Chamartin station around 10:30am. All the trains were full till 12:30pm. If you plan something in Spain during big festivities, plan carefully my advice!
I got the slow train to Segovia and got there around 2pm ...
... a bit like the castles in Central Europe. This was a result of the frequent visits by monarchs of the Austrian dynasty especially Philip II, who married his fourth wife here. After the court moved to Madrid, the Alcazar was no longer a royal residence, and it became a state prison for over two centuries.
We crossed the draw bridge and entered into the first room- the old castle room, where several knights in armor stood guarding the doors ...
... little trading or sharing. The trip to Segovia, overall, was a great experience. It was very interesting to see the aqueduct, as I had never seen one and so impressive. And of course the Alcázar was really cool, much like my expectations of a castle, even with a small mote around the front. It was kind of nice to just do a day trip. We were able to enjoy another famous city in Spain and still return in time for dinner!

I log on and call Meliss. Afterwards, I get some intel on where the Pension listed in my Rough guide to Europe is located in Avila. Apparently I hadnīt logged out of Skype and my Dad calls me. Whew. Lots of calls/talking!! Itīs about 30 minutes until my bus leaves so I quickly cruise out of there and go to the station.
Segovia, Spain kasia-wawToday was a wonderful day, espcially the night. My family and I went out for dinner. I have so much fun with my host family because we joke around and B.S. just as much as I do at my Dad's house. I laughed SO MUCH tonight. To get to the restaurant I got to ride for the first time in a car through the crazy Spanish streets. It was like a ride at an amusement park because one moment we're driving down a street and the next we've done a hair pin turn onto a ...

PEKIN, China abside... toilet as soon as I could. (Even for an un-alert person like me I could still sense the danger at that moment!) As I said I was lucky because there was an old man who went in with me at the same time; maybe that was the reason I was saved. Thank God! As mentioned before, this ...
Segovia, Spain vipro... a full day of art but all the museums in the city were closed!!! The Prado and the second largest collection of art in all of europe was closed. Eric was ****** but I wasnt so mad because I knew that we could come back later in July and I wanted to spend some time outside. We did however end up going to the Reinnie Sophia for a huge collection of modern art and the biggest collection of Picasso paintings. It was fun, but after a couple of hours we dicided to head outside for some drinks.
