    ... which was amazing. And Cam, Kayla and I went to go check out the bar scene while everyone else went to bed early. We found a small little place that had beers for 1.20 euro (wahooo) and a spaniard came up to us doing coin tricks with us for probably 30 minutes. We ran home at about 1:30, shouting no dinero at the club promotors trying to get us into their clubs and we went back and went to sleep. Such a busy first day, but a good one ...

    So not fair ...what ..!!! one gin & tonic and two reds and I wake up feeling like **** and have a head ache ...and still have it now and its 2 pm ...shouldn't detox ....or maybe really ...shouldn't ever drink Slow relaxed breakfast ..and head out for the Julie's walking tour of Madrid ...well I get to the palace and boy oh boy ..something's going on ...sniffer dogs checking scooters near by ...police everywhere ...

Ellen, our tour guide, and she took those of us who hadn't gone on the excursion on the bus and took us to the Spanish Square where Spain's pavilion from the 1926 American Iberian Expo was held. It was fabulous - absolutely beautiful buildings with four bridges of water to the center garden and tiled sections representing every city. It is now used for government office.     ... It was the first time that I'd felt real heat since leaving Egypt almost 2 months earlier. We had planned to stay in Spain's capital for 3 nights and it was not the heat, so much, that I was unimpressed with but more the fact that the first time I was getting to feel it was in a city located hours from the beach!
