A Rough Day in Paradise

This was a tedious day. First we laid in the sun til we got hot, then we swam in the Caribbean to cool off. Repeat that about 5 times. Throw in lunch on the beach with our feet in the sand somewhere in the middle. After so much tedium, we retired to our cabana for a siesta.

We came back to Las Palapas today. It is great to be here. It is the perfect beach resort - peaceful, beautiful, casual. Our cabana is great. We threw our bags in the cabana, changed, & hit the beach. I spent many peaceful hours lounging, people watching, drinking margaritas, & reading.

... a lot to do here and we had booked in for 5 nights. We came here specifically to swim with the whale sharks because everything I read or googled said this was the place to be. But apparently Isla Mujeres has whale sharks too so we could have just stayed there. If I sound a bit bitter I am!
