Today was nice hiking day. Some people took cars or bicycles, others walked to the Playa de la Concha. The walk was bout 1:30 hours. The beach was very beautiful, but by the time we arrived the sun had been covered by the clouds and the wind began picking up. Also there was a red flag, meaning that the current was way to strong and the waves broke right on the beach. Before we headed back, some of us walked up an inactive volcano to see the view from the top. Up ...

I spent 10 days in La Graciosa. The first 4 days was just the close family, spending some good familiy time, with beaches, restaurants, beers and the usual afternoon siestas. The island has a popoulation of roughly 600 people, no fresh water sources and the soil is completely vulcanic, extremely difficult to grown anything except Aloe Vera. I took a bus to Costa Teguise, there were 3-4 geocache for me to find.
As the bus approached the town, I realized that the town was extremely touristy. There was lots of German signs, lots of English pubs and so on. Prices were sky high of course. The day was very hot, but luckily the caches were all on the coast, I would stop whenever I wanted to jump into the water, either from a beach, some rocks, a dock or in the port. Along my walk I stopped in a place to get a ...

... maybe because they think that you are food critic. They served me right away, brought me things that other people did not have on their tables, and made sure that the food was just as I wanted. I asked, bring me the best fish you have tonight, and the best apetizer also. I ate extremely well and service was very good.
