... August is not for outdoors activities. I quickly got the essential stuff out of the airplane and dove for the air conditioning!

          Trip Stats:
Total Distance: 7964 statute miles, (6926 nm)
          Tach Hours: 106
Average Speed: 75 mph (65 kts)
          Days: 77
Fuel: 394 gallons total ( includes 50 gals Mogas)

A fantastic trip that I would repeat in a heartbeat ( except for the wildfires and smoke).

... is a nice pilot/visitor building with shower and lounge. I ended up spending the night in the lounge to avoid a wet tent in the morning. Good call, since the dense fog didn't burn off till after 9 am. I had originally planned to spend a couple nights camping, but was getting concerned about a potential starter problem on the Rotax and it was badly in need of an oil change. I had a scare after landing when I went re-position the prop while tying down the airplane. The engine ...

We left Atlanta this morning at 8 AM and 72 degrees and headed out for our last day on the road, this trip. You all know what that drive is like. I knew we were getting close to home when, at noon time, we saw our first palm trees and the temperature was 91 degrees. We landed in Satellite Beach at 3:30 PM and I must add, we had a VERY happy doggie. Beamer is glad to be home, as are we. And the first thing I did was bow my head and thank the Lord for getting us home safe and ...

... This was the first time I had ever played and oh my gosh... I laughed my ass off! It was the most twisted and hilarious humor I had ever been surrounded by and these strangers were right on my level of amused! It was such a good time. It got to be super late, maybe 4 am and everyone was getting tired. But I was still charged with excitement for this vacation and wide awake! So me and Joel went back out to the deck to watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, we ...

... our neighbors ran into our boat as they were leaving. Fortunately, the damage was minor if inconvenient and this person was a nice person, (meaning he offered to pay for damages) .

In spite of the above, we had such a good time in Stuart that it was hard to leave. But leave we did. We woke up bright an early on a Monday morning, calling ahead to have the bridge by the marina opened, just like we did when we first arrived. (I only mention this because it is one ...
