It was a pretty fun road full of switchbacks that took us through every conceivable landscape from rainforest to snow to pine trees to mists so thick you couldn't see ten feet down the road. Nice lunch in Bar Sonia then onto El Cercado and Las Hayas before retuning home. After a cuppa ...

The result was a disappointment for him Real Sociedad 2 Athetic Bilbao 0 but a fun session. Hungry we look at all the restaurants an eventually decide on the local fish restaurant as they do pasta as well. It's a lovely meal and we take longer than expected so the bar at Santa Ana is shut so a relatively early ...

A travel blog entry by valfinucane on Jan 04, 2014

Another sunny morning so breakfast on the terrace before wandering down into Playa Santiago to see a local football match. It turns out to be fun with around 50 locals, surprisingly half women who give the linesman stick when he gives decision against the home team. It's a small ground so all very close, quite intimidating for him but fun for us to watch. Santiago are bottom of ...
