... lunchtime. In the States, we eat between noon and 1pm but, in Spain, they don't have lunch until 2:30. Woah!

Six o'clock arrived sooner than expected which meant that Mary Virginia and I would have to head to our first orientation for Spanish Studies Abroad at the Center or "el centro." It was overwhelming, but we did it. We went to bed that night feeling exhausted; however, we were anxiously anticipating the days yet to come.

... to the house of Angie & Macarena where I had stashed my luggage and bike. There awaited me a warm though sleepy welcome because I arrived at 5 o clock in the night and Diederik and Maria had decided 2 hours previously to go to sleep because I was supposed to arrive later.

Pili took us to a Flamenco bar where the traditional Flamenco singing and dancing takes place. It was really, really cool to see this! So "Spanish".
