... Today we're catching the brand spanking new Edinburgh trams to the airport! What an experience, they are so fast and flash and run almost door-to-door for us. Kev is convinced that the tram bells sounds like the McDonalds beeping timers, and talks about how hungry he is the whole way!

... ocean, it really was something else. People kept flooding onto the beach and some people were wading waist deep into the water (fully clothed I should add) just got a view of the madness. At 2 minutes after 7am the horn rang and away they went! ... I walked the length of the pleasant, wide, waterfront promenade to the nearby town of Caleta de Fuste, a.k.a. El Castillo, named for the small castle built in 1743 to repel pirate attacks.

Start off with Ryanair flight to Madrid, was a bit worried about baggage as usual, but actually weighed in at exactly 15 kg, so no problem.
Next was a Turkish airlines flight via Istanbul to Beijing. Transit in Istanbul a bit frantic, the airport is enormous and the lines long, but eventually got to the boarding gate and off we were on the long overnight flight to Beijing
