Went to Mexico today cause it was only 30 miles south of here. Had lunch, did some shopping and KC joined a band..." Band di toe". Was fun but Mexico is Mexico..... Then went thunder egg hunting .. No eggs here, going to buy one and when I get home I'm going to tell you all I dug it myself...SO THERE!!!
Went to Little Florida Mt. State Park.. Pic 's to follow..

We left Douglas, Arizona a short 3 days ago. Crossing the border was fairly uneventful - we were pulled over and the local Mexican Customs officials spent about 20 minutes going through the inside/outside of the coach as well as the truck. ( the 'official' was a 20 something female who appeared to be more curious than serious...) Once we were cleared we began our 140 mile drive east ...

Na Columbus hebben we een paar winderige dagen, maar het blijft droog hoewel het 's nachts nog erg koud is. Het is wennen om Spaans te moeten spreken maar we kunnen ons verstaanbaar maken. Bij eenkoffie/thee stop op een kruising van twee wegen begint ons eerste gesprek. We delen pepernoten,taai en de Spaanse taal, het is tenslotte Sinterklaas.
De mannen staan allemaal bij hoge verkeersdrempels op de weg om auto's aan te houden. Niet om te liften, wat ik eerst ...

... the sandstone outcrop that forms one side of a steep river valley. There were severe warnings in all the literature about fitness levels required, dangerousness of the path, etc, but it wasn't bad at all - I guess they were being ultracautious as they'd seen the type of attire/accessories Mexicans typically have for a day out - high heels, huge heavy beer cooler, granny, pushchair, ...

... i go to an outdoor bar called ´Calicante´ which plays live music everynight with some amazing singers. Chihuahua is a nice little city but after you visit the museums and local landmarks there isnt a great deal to do. Tomorrow i leave Chihuahua. Next stop......the Colonial town of Zacatecas where i will meet Ale from ...
