    ... pier that we were originally to dock out apparently had been "taken out by bad weather" so they had a makeshift dock ready for the ferry. The ferry by the way, probably held about 350-400 passengers, and also the lower level was for cars and cargoe. The ferry was docked on the new pier, by throwing the rope around a rock on the land. There was a makeshift pier made and flattened ropes to walk up the very steep ramp. To ...

    ... m going to be doing allot of cooking. Vegetables are a rarity on menus and too many fried foods so this means I will need to keep my exercise routine in order to keep my 'macho on'!

    The city infrastructure is not so great but it is satisfactory. I'm willing to make the sacrifice...I kinda understand this culture much better again because with 300 years of Spanish rule and in south America about the same I know how those damn Spanish ...

    ... minimal - you have to buy everything, and the views of the islands was superb. I did take too many photos along the way of what I imagined were new islands rising from the sea or old ones disappearing into the sea. Regardless it made for some very nice colors in the water.
