    ... colonized three times...for 300 years by the Spanish who made them indentured slaves and servants....americans...who really freed them from Spanish rule and set them on a path to sovereignty..,and the Japanese for only about 4 years before the Americans came and liberated them needless to say Americans are well liked here.

    ... looking at a place just off the northern tip of Cebu before we changed plans after speaking to AussieJeff. It is called Malapascua and it could well be the sugar to sweeten the disappointment of today. First things first though, we need to get out of this stinking town and get to Cebu before we become stranded here.
