    ... like to lie in the sun. El Capricho de Gaudi is a wonderful example of Gaudi's architecture, but on a smaller scale which I think helps you appreciate his work even more.     The evening before we tried to anchor in a river a few miles west of San Vicente but it ended up being too shallow so we come back to San Vicente and anchored more or less where we were the previous nights.

    Buenas!

    Today was such a bittersweet day! After class, where we watched Nueve Reinas, we grabbed some coffee and headed to the "end of the semester" ceremony. There, a few of our friends played songs (such as Country Roads) and we were given our diplomas.

    It is so sad leaving here! I finally got into the groove of waking up ten minutes before breakfast, rushing to get dressed, eating crescent rolls, going to class for 4 hours, eating lunch, napping, ...

    ... The stream from the river is pretty strong and there were a number of [local] moorings and other yachts at anchor so we put out our second anchor aft to ensure when we swung round with the tide change we would stay put and not knock into other boats.

    We dropped Julian off at the Brittany Ferries terminal and headed off to Santillana del Mar some 25 kms from Santander.

    The village consists of one street which loops around and the buildings date from the 13th and 16th centuries - magical.
